Andrew began weightlifting in a friend’s garage in 2012 and immediately fell in love with the sport, learning from anyone he could talk to about it and YouTube videos. This sparked his interest so much, he altered his education path, switching from Engineering to Kinesiology where he could further learn about the human body and sport performance. While completing his degree at James Madison University in VA, he completed his USAW Level 1 certification and also led a barbell program at a local crossfit gym. He has continued to work in the world of sports performance/personal training since completing his degree is 2016 through various positions, but weightlifting has remained his primary focus helping a number of younger athletes reach National Competitions and competing in various National Competitions himself. He continues to be passionate about weightlifting and hopes further to develop the sport and help athletes of all levels reach their goals.
